Your body is the vehicle by which you take action in this world.

If you’re an athlete, you demand a “little” more from your body than the rest of us.

In fact it’s like you’re driving a race car instead of a commuter car. The demand alone often necessitates support and we understand this thoroughly.   We understand the mechanisms and modifications that will help you prevent and overcome injury.

Sports Injury Care

The majority of sports injuries that we see, happen due to repetitive stress/overuse associated with athletic activity.

Other injuries happen traumatically or acutely, for example, an ankle sprain. During the initial exam, we will determine the nature of your injury so that we can fit you into the appropriate course of treatment.

Fuctional Movement Assesment

The biomechanics of your body (how your body moves, balances, and stabilizes) can work for you or against you.

Clean and ideal movement decreases the load on your joints, the wear on the soft-tissues, and the energy expenditure to accomplish a task.  On the other hand, pain and movement dysfunction increases the load on your joints, wear on the soft-tissues, and energy expenditure.  The functional movement assessment allows us to see your body’s pattern of mobility and stability, and how it relates to your specific pain complaint.  It guides our treatment plan and allows us to track improvement over time.
